Price range: £12.70 through £37.50
Description
Roasted medium
This coffee originates from the high-altitude mountains of northern Nariño, Colombia, in the municipalities of La Unión, Cartago, and San Lorenzo. Produced by a community of 50 farmers, it benefits from the region’s unique “Niebla Dulce” (Sweet Mist) climate, where slow bean maturation at 1,800–2,200 meters above sea level enhances sweetness and complexity.
Grown mainly from Caturra, Castillo, and Colombia varieties in fertile volcanic soils, the coffee is known for its intense aroma, smooth body, and bright fruity and citrus notes. Coffee production is the main economic and cultural activity of the area, combining traditional farming methods with sustainable practices.
Quality is ensured through a meticulous washed process, including selective hand-picking, extended fermentation, careful washing, and slow drying in solar parabolic dryers for up to 25 days. This patient approach preserves the coffee’s speciality-grade character and reflects the authentic heritage of the Nariño region.
In the cup: Milk Chocolate / Butterscotch / Caramel / Apricot with pleasant long lasting sweetness and distinctive acidity
