HARIO V60
Brew Time: 3 Minutes | Coffee: 30g
You will need:
- Hario V60
- V60 Filter Papers
- Grinder
- Scale
- Timer
- Filtered Water
- Stirring Stick or Spoon
- Mug or decanter
- Coffee of your choice
Steps:
1. Bring 320ml of water to the boil
2. Place the V60 on your scale and zero
3. Thoroughly rinse the paper filter
4. Grind the beans to a medium ground
5. Add the grounded coffee to the V60 and settle for an even bed
6. Pour over 30g of water and stir it quickly a few times, then leave for 30 seconds
7. Pour over 70g of water in circular motions, starting from the center and working your way to the edge
8. Continue adding 50g of water at a time, ensuring the coffee bed is never dry and the fill line isn't exceeded
9. Swirl the cone to remove any stuck coffee grounds, then tap to flatten the bed
10. After 2:30 to 3:00 minutes, the brewing should be complete. Enjoy!
AEROPRESS
Brew Time: 2 Minutes | Coffee: 15g
You will need:
- Aeropress
- Paper Aeropress filter
- Grinder
- Scale
- Timer
- Filtered Water
- Stirring Stick or Spoon
- Mug or decanter
- Coffee of your choice
Steps:
1. Bring 220ml of water to the boil
2. Place the Aeropress on your scale and zero
3. Thoroughly rinse the paper filter
4. Weigh out 15g of your chosen coffee beans
5. Grind the beans to a slightly finer consistency than the filter drip
6. Use the funnel to transfer the grinded coffee to your Aeropress
7. Pour in 40g of the water and quickly stir
8. Add the remaining 220g of water
9. Place the plunger on top of the Aeropress and push in, allowing it to create a vaccuum.
10. Leave it to brew for one minute
11. Push the plunger down slowly over the course of 40 seconds until you hear a hissing sound
12. You're done - pour out and enjoy!
CAFETIERE
Brew Time: 4 Minutes | Coffee: 25g
You will need:
- Cafetiere
- Grinder
- Scale
- Timer
- Filtered Water
- Stirring Stick or Spoon
- Mug or decanter
- Coffee of your choice
Steps:
1. Pre-heat the cafetiere with hot water to prepare for brewing
2. Grind the beans to a coarse ground
3. Empty the cafetiere, place on scale, and zero
4. Bring 330ml of water to the boil and allow to rest for 30 seconds
5. Pour all 330g of water over the coffee and stir, ensuring all grounds are wet
6. Allow to brew for 4 minutes
7. Break the crust with your spoon and stir
8. Scoop off any floating foam and remaining coffee grounds
9. Push down the plunger gently over the course of 20 seconds
10. All done. Enjoy!
